Please follow all directions! Check your school sites table for passwords.
I have so much confidence in you and your Glogs! Below you will find lots of videos I made for you in case you have any problems finishing your glog. They are all short so watch them all if you need to. Check your rubric to know what you need to include.
P.S. View the videos FULL SCREEN by clicking on the icon that looks like a T.V. on the bottom right side of the video.

Video on Saving and getting a Link to your Glog
Once you have the link to your Glog, you will need to take the Wallwisher link below according to your class. Once there, please double click to get a sticky note, put your name where it say "anonymous" and paste in your Glog Link. Congratulations on completing your first Glog!
When you are done with all of this, I would like you to explore a wiki called "Cool Tools for School." Click on the link here. Once there explore some of the tools. There are some really fun things to do under creativity tools! Have fun!
Today you are going to explore a Website called Atomic Learning.
This website has tutorials or mini video lessons that will teach how to use different websites and tools. I want you to try using Atomic Learning by watching some videos about Google Earth. Once you feel comfortable, you will open up Google Earth and practice what you have learned.
Follow these steps;
1. Start a new tab and go to the BIS homepage
2. Click on School Tools on the bottom left, and then click on Atomic Learning.
The username is; BarnstableIS
Password; redraider
**Remember you must use capital letters on the B, the I and the S! **
3. For extra credit you may try filling out Atomic Learning in your School Sites Table, don't forget to save! (Show me next Class for extra credit or Candy!)
4. Once you are into Atomic Learning look for Google Earth in the spot that says applications. Look below for an example.
5. Click Find Tutorials, wait for it to load and click on Google Earth 5 PC/Mac, click on Google Earth 5 again
6. Now you will have a list of videos to watch. They are all about 30 sec to 2 min long. Please watch a bunch of them. Start with the introduction. The best videos are in the special features section, so definitely watch these! Here you can learn how to view the sky, use street view, and use the Flight Simulator!
Look at the picture below if you need to see what I'm talking about :)
7. Google Earth has already been downloaded on your computer, so once you have watched some videos look on your desktop to open Google Earth. Practice what you have learned and have fun!
Here are some more videos on Google Earth to check out:
Hello 6th Graders! Today you will explore one of my favorite tools for social bookmarking--Diigo! What do you think social bookmarking is? Think of the two words separately, what do they mean? You will learn more by watching the video below, they use another bookmarking site called Delicious in their example, but is almost the same as Diigo. Follow the directions below the video when you finish.
Next you will need to open your school sites table and add your new Diigo account information to it. Your username: first initial last name18 (all one word) and password: redraider. Watch my screencast below on adding to your table and creating a hyperlink if you need help.
